  • Family of Small Unmanned Ground Systems (FosUGS) Assessment Event (AE)

Submit NLT 20 October 2023 at 11:59 PM EST SOFWERX Challenge Opportunity SOFWERX, in collaboration with SOF Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office Tactical Information Systems (PEO-TIS), will host an Assessment Event (AE) to identify production model solutions for general-purpose multi-role/multi-mission robot systems. PEO-TIS is seeking information on a specific technology area to gain knowledge of, explore, and identify available capabilities for potential inclusion in the Family of small Unmanned Ground Systems (FosUGS) AE. Technology desired by USSOCOM is an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) general-purpose multi-role/multi-mission robot system in the weight range of 10-40 pounds that has some level of autonomous behaviors or capabilities which reduce operator workload and can operate in all-weather conditions within rural/urban environments. The system must have an integrated electro-optical/infra-red (EO/IR) full motion video (FMV) capability for day and night ISR operations and be payload agnostic to support additional payloads. 💌 Be the first to hear about new opportunities, events, and updates in the Ecoverse: here Interested in finding your next innovation opportunity? • Air-launched Loiter Munition (ALM) Collaboration Event (CE)

Request to Attend NLT 12 October 2023 11:59 PM ET SOFWERX Challenge Opportunity SOFWERX, in collaboration with USSOCOM Program Executive Office – Fixed Wing (PEO-FW), Stand-Off Precision Guided Munitions (SOPGM) Program, will host a series of events to demonstrate and integrate Air-launched Loiter Munition (ALM) capabilities. These engagements with Industry, Academia, and Government Labs, will help USSOCOM identify potential material solutions and investigate trade-space. USSOCOM intends to survey industry for mature, non-developmental, technology that may support rapid fielding of this capability. The SOPGM Program Office currently supports Special Operations Forces (SOF) aircrews with short range munitions that are employed directly to known targets, visually identified by the shooter aircraft before launch, and utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) or Semi-Active Laser (SAL) for terminal guidance. The dependencies for this employment method will place SOF Operators at an unacceptable risk during engagements in highly contested areas. New solutions are required to provide identification, tracking, and engagement of moving or mobile targets in a time compressed environment. SOF aircraft must be prepared to efficiently engage moving targets on the time scale it would face during any potential conflict with a well-resourced peer or near-peer adversary attempting an act of aggression. Traditional airborne moving target intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors currently employed by SOF will be inadequate for such a scenario due to deficiencies in survivability, speed, range, or sensor performance. Considering these capability gaps, USSOCOM is looking for ALMs to decrease the engagement time from minutes to seconds, improve targeting solutions, and increase the survivability of SOF. 💌 Be the first to hear about new opportunities, events, and updates in the Ecoverse: here Interested in finding your next innovation opportunity? • TSA Resource Optimization Assessment Event (AE)

Submit Form NLT 13 October 11:59 PM ET RSVP to Attend the Q&A Telecon NLT 03 October HSWERX Challenge Opportunity HSWERX, part of the DEFENSEWERX PIA network, in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hosting an Assessment Event (AE) centered around Resource Optimization for the TSA’s Innovation Task Force (TSA ITF). The purpose of this AE is to allow TSA ITF to assess technologies demonstrated by potential solution providers. TSA is seeking a solution that will (1) allow its workforce to access TSA approved applications from their personal devices, non-Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and (2)collect, organize, and display the complexities of the TSA daily operations from a TSA management perspective. Work demand would be overlaid with staff and equipment resources. More mature phases will include predictive capabilities and will generate optimal recommendations from the platform. Systemic and local work rules can be easily customized, and “Plan of Day (PoD)” will notify the user when service failures exist in the plan. This solution would enable higher ranked officials to flag Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) which is operational, non-operational, or down for maintenance. The system will use business rules to serve as an "Alerts & Warnings" mechanism to flag forecasted operational inefficiencies to applicable higher ranked officials. TSA seeks to enter into non-FAR or FAR-based agreements with Industry, Academic, and National Lab partners whose solutions are favorably evaluated by TSA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). As such, the AE is considered competitive, and solutions will be evaluated independently of one another primarily for technical merit. Interested in finding your next innovation opportunity? We are pleased to announce a new program that gives back to our communities and the charitable organizations that our employees are involved in or wish to support. Our first sponsorship under this new program is for the SPARC of Hope Walk. The Suicide Prevention Awareness & Resource Council (SPARC) is a group of concerned citizens, professionals, and partner agencies who convene with a common goal of reducing the number of suicides in our area. Committee members include Region Ten staff (each locale is represented), Virginia Department of Health representatives, local police, community members, Mental Health America staff, faith-based community members, and our regional Suicide Prevention Coordinator. We work collaboratively to strengthen and expand education in the area of suicide prevention, behavioral health and wellness. Our goal is to increase help seeking behaviors and raise awareness about available mental health supports and resources in our area. "With your generous donation we will continue to work toward education and expanded training for mental health professionals, first responders and school personnel. This year already, we have been able to use donated funds to support speakers in our community, school based activities as well as several awareness events that promote increased safety and further understanding about suicide prevention. We provide local schools with educational materials and resources to promote increased awareness and better response to at risk students. Our SPARC council continues to have a number of initiatives that we support, fund and promote. If needed for your records, we can provide you with a copy of our IRS tax letter and proof of 501c3 status.
